Dear SALT Parents,

If I have not yet had the opportunity to meet you, my name is Lisa Worley. In addition to teaching IEW Writing in the upcoming school year, I am excited to take on an additional role providing targeted reading support for students.

I bring over 20 years of teaching experience across grades one through five in both private and public school settings. After leaving the classroom five years ago, I transitioned into tutoring, working with students one-on-one and in small groups. I am also Level 1 Certified in Wilson Language Training, an internationally recognized program designed to support students with reading and literacy development.

Beginning this fall, I will be offering small-group instruction (no more than three students per group) using the Wilson Reading System for students in grades K-4 during their scheduled reading block. Each group will be carefully formed to support individual learning needs, and instruction will be tailored to each student’s current level. Students will progress through the program based on demonstrated mastery of each step.

This instruction will take the place of Logic of English classwork and homework. Students will receive individualized homework assignments for two days each week to reinforce skills learned during sessions.

I am passionate about helping students grow in both skill and confidence. My goal is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where each child can experience success and reach their full potential.
